5 local perks
Admission for up to 2 adults and 4 children under 18
Free borrowed admission

Borrow a Reptilia visit with your VPL card

Before buying reptile-zoo tickets, check whether your library has a Reptilia pass. It can cover a larger family group, but you cannot reserve one, so we'd keep the visit date flexible until the pass is in hand.

During the seven-day loan; check the zoo's current opening hours.
General admission for up to 2 adults and 4 children in one vehicle
Free borrowed admission

Borrow a regular Kortright visit from VPL

For a regular family visit to Kortright, the library pass can remove admission and parking from the bill. We'd check it before paying for a daytime outing. Keep a separate budget for special events, because this pass does not cover them.

During the seven-day loan, within regular operating hours; check current hours before leaving.
General museum admission for up to 4 visitors
Free borrowed admission

Borrow a ROM outing with your Vaughan library card

A Toronto museum day starts with a useful stop closer to home: your Vaughan library. The borrowed ROM pass covers general admission for four visitors. We'd check the blackout calendar first, especially when planning around a school break.

During the seven-day loan, outside the ROM's pass blackout periods.
Day-use entry and parking for one vehicle and its occupants
Free borrowed vehicle permit

Borrow an Ontario Parks vehicle permit from VPL

For a provincial-park day trip, check the library before paying the vehicle admission fee. The borrowed permit covers everyone in your vehicle for day use. We'd collect it before reserving the park visit, since you need the permit number and park capacity still matters.

During the one-week loan and the permit's printed validity; check park operating dates.
Support for eligible City recreation programmes and swim lessons
Income-tested fee assistance

Get help with Vaughan recreation fees through RecAssist

When recreation fees are the reason a programme gets crossed off the list, RecAssist is worth checking before registration. It helps eligible Vaughan residents with the cost. We'd apply early, because approval takes time and some programmes still require a family contribution.

Apply before registering with assistance; the form asks applicants to allow two weeks for processing.

Confirm eligibility, availability and current terms with the provider.
